There is a high demand to secure electrical enclosures in Southern Africa due to cable theft and electricity. Risi Locks has developed a secure door and lock to prevent unauthorized access with a high success rate.

The RISI spring loaded mechanism attaches to the RISI Lock and can be custom designed to fit most doors. The function of the lock is designed to control different spring-loaded locking mechanisms directly or indirectly, this depends on application. A coded bolt that fits into the housing, has a coded rotating security cap fixed firmly to it, together they operate coded keys allowing accountable gradable access.

The indirect design can be used for high security, whereby the spring loaded mechanism will stay in posistion in case the lock is damaged. For some enclosures an auto locking mechanism can be used. The lock will not compromise the mechanism if damaged with the indirect design. This design secures the door on opposite ends giving no dependence on the hinge for any form of security.

An optional mounted RISI cover results in the lock being graded to almost tamper proof conditions. Newer designs for doors and covers are almost completed whereby the lock cannot be seen and tampering eliminated.
